Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Trumbull Youth Association's 2024 production of ANYTHING GOES! This production is for students entering their freshman year of high school through 21 years old. All auditions will be held at the Trumbull Senior Citizen's Center. All auditionees need to attend both a vocal audition and a dance call. You don’t need any prior experience to join this production, and everyone who auditions will have a place in the show– all we ask is that you audition and try your best!

FOR YOUR VOCAL AUDITION: Prepare one minute of a musical theater song in the style of the show (either another Cole Porter composition or a piece from another 1930s-1950s musical). Bring either an accompaniment track or sheet music in the correct key. If you'd like to submit your track in advance for the stage manager to have printed or cued up, please email it to philippa.j.walton@gmail.com with your name in the subject line 24 hours before your audition time. We also need a printed photo of your face– any photo works as long as your face is shown clearly (photos will not be returned). Arrive 10 minutes before your time slot.

 

FOR THE DANCE CALL: Please wear comfortable clothes for movement and bring a pair of dance shoes. (These can be sneakers, ballet or jazz slippers, or character heels-- whatever you own and feel comfortable in!) Please bring tap shoes if you own them. If you have any further questions, reach out to philippa.j.walton@gmail.com with your name in the subject line 24 hours before your audition time. Arrive 10 minutes before your time slot and warm up until you are called.
